Google Sites help forums move

Exciting news! We’re moving our Google Sites forum to our new Google Product Forums platform.

GPF, which is built upon Google Groups, will enable us to offer you a better forum experience so that you can easily discuss what you’re passionate about with other members, as well as ask questions and get the answers you need.

Google Product Forums also includes some new features that users have told us they’d like, for example, the chance to add a “Me too!” vote to a question to quickly share that you’re interested in the question, too. You’ll also be able to +1 your favorite topics. And we hope you’ll enjoy the modern look and feel of the new forum, too.

You can see an existing example of Google Product Forums via the Google+ Discuss forum: https://groups.google.com/a/googleproductforums.com/forum/#!forum/google-plus-discuss

There’s also a Getting Started Guide that introduces some of the basic features: http://www.google.com/support/groups/bin/static.py?page= guide.cs&guide=1649598

The move is scheduled to happen on Wednesday, December 14. I'll update this thread if anything changes.

After we move, if you click a browser bookmark to the old forum or you click links to content in the old forum, you’ll automatically be re-directed to the new one.

Teresa, on behalf of the Google Sites team
